You deserve to feel safe — and to know what’s really happening around you.

Unfollow helps you understand your surroundings without anyone else knowing you’re looking.

Our Purpose

Why we built this.

When someone is navigating domestic abuse, stalking, or harassment, ordinary technology is too often turned against them. Commercial smart home devices and standard network tools assume a trusted household — they display loud setup banners, announce connected users, and alert the very person a survivor might be trying to protect themselves from.

We created Unfollow specifically to restore that balance. Being shaped with input from domestic violence survivor advocates and support organizations, Unfollow is designed from the ground up to provide clear, quiet visibility without tipping off an abuser or compromising your personal safety.

Clarity & Control

What Unfollow does.

Essential awareness designed to protect you, without complicated jargon or intrusive monitoring.

Notices unfamiliar devices

Quietly senses unfamiliar trackers, tags, or foreign devices that show up near you or linger around your private living space.

Catches unexpected connection attempts

Notices when something nearby is trying to probe or connect where it shouldn’t be, without giving away that it was observed.

Watches your home network

Monitors your home Wi-Fi for newly joined equipment, unwanted cameras, or unauthorized gadgets that don't belong in your space.

Never listens, reads, or records

Unfollow never listens to phone calls, never reads messages, and never accesses personal photos. It only senses device signals — never personal content.

Simple & Private

How it works.

Designed for someone who needs safety right away, without complexity or stress.

1

Set it up privately.

Setup takes just a few minutes and does not require broadcasting your intentions or telling anyone else in your environment.

2

It learns what’s normal.

It quietly builds an understanding of what legitimately belongs around you, without raising false alarms or creating noise.

3

You’re notified, quietly.

Alerts come to you alone. Notifications are worded discreetly so they reveal nothing to anyone else who might happen to glance at your phone screen.

Data Sovereignty

Your privacy, specifically.

Never shared without your explicit consent

Your data is never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties. Any sharing requires your explicit, revocable permission.

Delete at any moment

You maintain complete ownership of your history. You can permanently erase all recorded device observations whenever you decide.

Partner organizations have zero default visibility

If a shelter, NGO, or advocacy organization assisted you in receiving an Unfollow unit, they cannot see your device signals or personal data unless you specifically choose to grant them access — and you can revoke that permission at any time.

Advocacy & Partnerships

For shelters, advocates, and support organizations.

We collaborate closely with domestic violence service providers, shelters, and survivor caseworkers to ensure units reach people who need them safely and discreetly.

Zero default access: In accordance with strict survivor privacy standards, partner organizations have zero access to client device data by default. Any collaborative review requires granular, category-by-category client authorization that can be instantly revoked.
Advocate batch requests: If your organization supports survivors in transition, we plan to offer dedicated batches of pre-provisioned units with safe custody transfer as pilots expand.

Confidential Inquiries

Request early access.

Unfollow is not generally available. It already runs on early units, and we’re starting pilots with early users through survivor advocates and support organizations. Share whatever contact method is safest for you.

We will never identify this contact as a security inquiry on public caller ID or unencrypted voicemail.
