About HaloWarden
HaloWarden makes hidden surveillance visible, from a private home to a secure site. We build sensors that watch the airwaves and the network around the clock, and one engine — in our cloud or on your own servers — that tells you what's actually on your network, nearby, and visible to the outside world.
What we believe
Most people and organizations only get a snapshot of their network security — a one-time scan, a router app's word for it, or an expensive sweep that's outdated the moment it's over.
"We built HaloWarden because 'what's on my network, and what's near me' deserves a continuous answer, not an occasional one."
WHY HALOWARDEN EXISTS- Fragmented Timelines
Scans capture a single frame in time. Any rogue AP, transient BLE tracker, or port opening between scans is entirely missed.
- False Reassurance
Router software presents high-level vendor summaries that assume device compliance without verifying actual packet activity.
- Prohibitive Cost & Friction
Physical RF sweeps require dedicated personnel, specialized spectrum analyzers, and stop providing value the minute the consultant leaves.
- Always-On Edge Observability
Sensors passively listen across frequencies 24/7/365, alerting when new MACs appear, beacons morph, or strange ports open.
- Verifiable Evidence Chains
Classifications carry the captured metadata they were built from: probe requests, TLS certificates, and broadcast signatures.
- Autonomous Intelligence Updates
Recognition runs in the engine, not on the sensor, so new trackers and protocols are picked up without replacing hardware.
How we work
Our engineering methodology rejects proprietary opacity. We design systems that you can audit, verify, and question down to the frame level.
Edge Sensing, Cloud Identification
Capture happens on a small sensor; recognition happens in one engine — our cloud or your own servers — so the system improves without new hardware.
By separating lightweight signal capture from computationally heavy fingerprint matching, deployed units never obsolete when new protocol revisions or consumer trackers enter the market.
Evidence Over Verdicts
Every classification carries the evidence it was built from — not just a verdict, but why.
Radical Transparency & Known Limits
We publish what we don't yet do as plainly as what we do. Security tools that claim 100% infallible perimeter coverage are dangerous.
We clearly document hardware blind spots, ultra-wideband limitations, and RF attenuation boundaries so our operators make decisions based on reality, not marketing promises.
Our products
HaloWarden delivers unified wireless and network sensing technology structured for two distinct operational tracks. One underlying sensor architecture, fine-tuned for the realities of each mission.
HaloWarden for Business
Continuous wireless, network, and exposure monitoring for offices, data centers, and secure facilities.
HaloWarden for Individuals
The same detection engine, built for privacy-conscious individuals, journalists, and security researchers who want real visibility into their own network.
Who's building it
A small team in Seattle, building firmware, hardware and the engine in-house.
Builds the full stack, firmware to cloud. Twenty-four years in software engineering, including growing and leading engineering teams at large technology and finance companies.
A circuit-board designer with a microelectronics and radio background designs our boards, and is now working on a single device that carries every radio.
A signals engineer and a hardware engineer from an R&D lab advise on radio detection. Their names are withheld for now.
